Q: Hi Guys, This may be a long one lol. I was pregnant in September, only in early stages and had a miscarriage. I started miscarrying on the 19th of September and the bleeding went on for about 2 weeks. At about a week and a half of bleeding I was given Tranamexic Acid ( something along them lines ) to slow the bleeding. It stopped fully and I was back to normal. My HCG was 7 when I began to miscarry so by the end of it they said I am okay to begin trying again. I had the depo injection July 10th and caught pregnant on that. Thats why I miscarried apparently? The injection ran out 3rd of October and I have been having unprotected sex at least once every two days since then. On the 13th October I began having brown discharge, It wasnt heavy, just thick. It has lasted 7 days (until yesterday). In between this brown discharge I have had some pink spotting too, just when I wiped?! … I know they say us women just “know” when they are pregnant, well some. With the past pregnancy I just got sore, swollen boobs. Over the last 3 – 5 days my boobs have beginning to become sore again but not swollen like before? But I have the nausea feeling but not like I want to be sick just a funny feeling in my stomach. I also had diarreah for 2 days (not sure if this would be a sign?) and also I feel a bit dizzy when I stand up after sitting down at my desk at work for a while. I done a test on the 15th. Which was negative. But im guessing this is way to soon to test. I dont know when my period is due, this is obviously because of the miscarriage.??What do people think? Pregnancy? A: Well, brown blood is old blood so it may be from the miscarriage still. Although, you are supposedly really fertile after a m/c, so who knows? Maybe you did get pregnant right away. I guess you’ll just have to wait at this point and see if the bleeding completely stops, then test again. A: You took a test, and it was negative. Then you started your period. You want to be pregnant, and you are looking for signs. It’s really, really, REALLY rare to have lots of pregnancy symptoms and not have enough HCG to show up on a pregnancy test. I don’t think you have had a miscarriage, and I really don’t think you were pregnant. You can have lots of signs and symptoms of being pregnant, when you are looking for them, and NOT be pregnant. But like I said, the more symptoms you have, the less likely you are to miscarry.. and the less likely you would be to have a negative test. All of that PLUS the fact that you took a test, and it was negative AND the fact that you had your period, says: NO. You do not need a blood test. Take another pregnancy test if you want to know for sure. Take care!
