Q: recently i read that you could take vitamin c for spermicide so i tried it and then i experienced some burning, which i didn’t think was very good but right before i went to rinse it out (tmi i know) there was a “gush of fluid” of somekind that soaked through my jeans and lasted for about 5-20 minutes, what could this have been? i’ve read and some sites say that, that is a sign of a miscarriage? as of yesterday im spotting and having really bad cramping. and what looked like a tiny blood clot.

A: almost exactly 2 years ago i had pain at 6 weeks so they did an ultrasound and we seen the heartbeat, it was 110. she told us my chances of miscarriage went down so we didnt think anything of it when a month later i was laying over the coffee table in severe pain for a few minutes and then it went away. we went for my 13 week appointment and they couldnt find the heartbeat on the dopplar so they sent us to an imaging place because the sono lady wasnt in that morning, they even told us we could find out the sex, which was a farse and we knew that. we went and the baby was measuring 11 weeks. they very harsly told us “the baby was dead” and walked out. i have o negative blood and fell in my driveway 2 weeks before i actually miscarried though. i had cramping and pain from the beginning but everyone kept telling me not to worry and it was normal. looking back i can honestly say that after i was laying over the coffee table that day, i instantly didnt feel “pregnant” anymore, my boobs werent sore, nothing, but everyone told me that was normal too. im NOT trying to worry you by any means. i would NEVER wish what happened to us on my own worst enemy however i am telling you a real life story about what happened to us. the doctor never did any tests on me to see why we miscarried so we will never know the answer to that, something they also didnt tell me before or after my d&c, which he messed up and i had to have another, all this 3 days before christmas. needless to say he isnt my doctor anymore but thats why you have to really read up on pregnancy while youre pregnant so you know all the things to ask and expect. get the book “what to expect when youre expecting” and “your pregnancy week by week”. i never had it but my friend raves about it and told me to get it since we will be ttc starting on sunday! i pray that you will never have a miscarriage because its a really hard thing to go through so i am going to say a special prayer for you tonight that you will be ok! email me if you need anything or just support, that is something i wish i would have had during my miscarriage and after. good luck to you i wish you the best :)EDIT: i got this information from http://www.justmommies.com/articles/dilation-and-curettage.shtml#ixzz0Sw5jSFN4 you can also just type D&C or dilation and curettage, what it is called in full, in yahoo or google and research more but i think its all pretty well covered on this information i pasted below.A D&C is one of the most common surgical procedures performed on women. A: Those are not signs of a miscarriage… Wiggly teeth? that has nothing to do with miscarriage. It sounds like you are a college student which means you can go to student health services or you can go to your local public health department and get a check up. You don’t have to tell anyone. The wiggly teeth thing sounds like you weren’t or aren’t getting enough nutrients. The thirsty thing is common but can also be a sign of high blood sugar. You need to see someone: health dept, womens health clinic, student health services, someone now. Your teeth may fall out, your baby may die or be irreversibly damaged. You also need to eat good food. You are in school so you are no dummy SO EAT SOMETHING GOOD!!! Good luck with your pregnancy.
