Normal hCG levels immediately after 8 wk miscarriage ?

Q: I had a hCG (blood) level taken immediately after I passed the pregnancy (at 8 weeks LMP pregnant, know was 7 weeks gest) and levels were at 6564. I have a followup aptmt to see if levels drop, as ectopic feared by docs but no pain or even symptoms of molar preg. I just wondered what normal levels would be expected immediately (literally immediately!) after a miscarriage. Didnt ask at time as tired with lack of sleep. Started passing large clots 10pm thur, very heavy so in hospital 11.30pm, bloods, swabs and internal at around 2am Fri not slept o/nite and TV scan at 12.30pm Fri showed not much left of lining, no preg sack and tiny blead remaining (complete miscarriage !). No sign of other issues at time from scan (eg ov. cysts or issue with tubes) so no concerns until bloods came back at 4pm fri. Just wondering what to expect basically, and how abnormal this level is (if at all!)

Q: I went to the hospital with what I thought was a miscarriage. I was there about 3 hours and while I was there passed alot of blood and some clotting, with major cramps. When they did a pelvic exam my cervix was closed. In the ultrasound everything looked normal with no sign of baby. The ER doctor told me not to worry and wait 5 days to see what the HCG level are then, they are 400 now. Does anyone know how quickly a cervix will close after miscarriage?
