A hard choice to make concerning my miscarriage?
Q: I had a miscarraige at 6 weeks. I started bleeding and went for an emergency ultra-sound. The baby was still alive, had a heart beat. Two days later the embryonic sack came down. The baby died. I saved it and have it frozen so it doesn’t start to decompose. I am trying to decide if I should have it tested to see why I had a miscarriage or just bury it. My doctor said there is little chance testing would produce any answers and I couldn’t have it back to bury. I believe that life begins from cenception and so this is very emotional for me. This is my second miscarriage. I don’t want my baby to be poked at and then thrown in the trash but I would like to know what happened to maybe avoid another miscarriage. I am having a very hard time deciding what to do. What do you think?
A: i’m not trying to be cold, and i agree life does start at conception, but in this case I would probably have the testing done.. it can help you down the road.
What fruit is best to eat during pregnancy and how much do I need?
Q: I just found out that I am pregnant and since I had a miscarriage in Dec 2006 (I’ve een trying since then with no success until now), I want to make sure that I do EVERYTHING right. I want to know what should I eat? What should I avoid? Which fruits are best to take with my vitamin? Which are not so good? Thank you all!
A: any fruit is perfect. any vegetable is perfect.of course you know to avoid alcohol, drugs, smoke. etc.you can slip up sometimes and have a soda or some candy.most miscarriages are the result of a genetic defect, not something the mother did wrong.good luck and congrats i’m so happy for you!
5 weeks pregnant (high risk pregnancy) and too much stress at work..?
Q: I have a high stress job, standing all day and it is quite physical. I’m only 5 week pregnant, and it is a high risk pregnancy because of my high blood pressure. I really, really , really want this baby, and it took me a while to get pregnant. My question is; I’m thinking of taking 4 weeks leave to get me over this critical time for my baby, and to try and avoid a miscarriage. I am so stressed at work at the moment and I am so scared it will influence this pregnancy. What do you guys think? Should I take the leave, or just press through it?I can take paid leave for that time, and my husband works as well. So money might be a bit tight, but ok.
A: I would take time off. I did the same thing when I went through my own high risk pregnancy, and I have never regretted it. I had time to think about the baby and relax and find out how to love it already inside me, and I truly believe that being able to relax for a month helped prevent me from having another miscarriage. Your baby is so much more important than your job, I highly recommend taking some time off.God bless and I hope you have a wonderful pregnancy, a healthy baby, and a sweet life.
