Just a Thought on Cancer…?

Q: Okay, please… just hear me out. I am scared that I might have thyroid cancer and in all honesty, I am trying my best to take care of the problem, rather it is serious, or not. I have no health insurance and I have to wait about 3-4 weeks, until I hear something from Basic Health. Any who, the main reason of why I am typing this, is because I have this question… it may sound insane, or even well, down right ridiculous. This is just what I believe, or perhaps, this is what I want to believe. Do you think someone with cancer can beat it, or if not beat it, live longer if they have a positive attitude, eat right, exercise and well… just live life to the fullest with a smile on their face? See, I know a lot of you are going to disagree with me and that is okay. I honestly understand. I just have faith, even though I am agnostic… I feel as if I should make a change and enjoy life and fight anything that tries to stand in my way of happiness. So, what’s your outlook on this? A: I have to disagree with the poster that says attitude does not make a difference. I can say that because I beat cancer and I never let it get me down. My oncologist told me that attitude plays a major part in your recovery it won’t help beat the cancer but it can help when you are laid up in bed feeling sorry for yourself after a chemo treatment. I will say that when you are told that you have cancer you do look at life differently than you did, atleast I did. If it wasn’t for my loving family and my positive attitude I don’t know where I would be today. I will tell you that when I had to have the radioactive dye put in my breast I was talking to the Dr. that was giving it to me and at first I looked at her funny when she said “if I was going to get a cancer I would want it to be thyroid cancer” I just did a double take and looked at her and she told me that it was one of the easiest cancers to beat.
