A: Killing, or even injuring someone, while driving drunk should definately include jail time. Work release, or Huber Law, is at the discretion of the judge. As long as the person is not a threat to society, there is no reason they shouldn’t get work release. You didn’t mention where you were from, but work release is common here. Many people have families, and by not allowing work release, they are punishing others who did not participate in the act.
