It’s the day before a holiday.
At work no customers come to pay.
I wish I weren’t here,
That would bring me cheer;
But better would be holiday pay.
Working when working is not a lot.
But still I am here filling my spot.
No customers come,
An oh it’s hum-drum,
Boy don’t I wish that here I was not.
So it is almost a holiday,
Were I home I could make it that way.
I’m at work with you,
And that makes me blue.
Oh well I’m not ready anyway.
