Blessing of the Animals in Metro Atlanta

Chris the Lord Lutheran Church will be holding a Blessing of the Animals in metro Atlanta on Saturday October 1, 2011, from 10 am to 2 pm. This event will be held in conjunction with English Springer Rescue America, Inc.

All pets in the metro Atlanta area are invited to attend, with the exception of aggressive or uncontrollable pets. Pets must be leashed or confined in a cage and be under control at all times during this Blessing of the Animals event.

This Blessing of the Animals outdoor event will also include booths representing local animal rescue groups, a silent auction to benefit rescue dogs, a dog wash, various animal demonstrations and other activities.

Chris the Lord Lutheran Church, a Lutheran congregation established in 1979, is located at 1001 Duluth Highway (State Route 12) in Lawrenceville, Georgia, right outside of Atlanta.

English Springer Rescue America, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization which rescues and places English Springer Spaniels in Georgia and surrounding southern states.

This Blessing of the Animals in metro Atlanta will be held in commemoration of St Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals.
