Fiery Racetrack Crash Kills Two Time Indianapolis 500 Winner, Dan Wheldon

During a race today at the LasVegas Motor Speedway, two time Indianapolis 500 Winner, Dan Wheldon, age 33, sustained injuries that resulted in his untimely death.

Wheldon sustained unsurvivable injuries when his race car became entangled in a 15 car fiery pileup then flew over another car. is race car then landed in a catch fence. Wheldon was airlifted from the scene of the accident, and reportedly died later at University Medical Center.
