Man Finds Mouse in Can of Mountain Dew

On Fox News this morning, a man named Ronald Ball from Madison County, Ill., was featured with a can of Mountain Dew that had a mouse in it. Ball, 52, filed a lawsuit against PepsiCo, the parent company of Mountain Dew. PepsiCo countered back arguing that the soda would have dissolved the mouse.

Ball claims that he took a drink of the soda and noticed that it tasted horrible, and he spat the soda out, and felt ill immediately afterward. Ball stated “The contents of said can of Mountain Dew were immediately poured into a Styrofoam cup wherein a dead mouse was found.”

Ball, then sent the evidence to PepsiCo along with a letter of complaint. However, it appears that someone at PepsiCo has destroyed all evidence.

This incident occurred in 2009, and PepsiCo has denied all claims and plans to dismiss the lawsuit. It appears that the can Ball drank from was bottled 74 days before he opened it and therefore, PepsiCo claims, the mouse would have dissolved in the soda.

Ronald Ball and PepsiCo are set to appear in a Wisconsin courtroom on January 11.

More on this developing story, as it comes out.
