I recently tried my first glycolic treatment. I was apprehensive to say the least as I am always skeptical about “beauty miracles”. The glycolic treatment I used was an at home treatment that contains the highest level of glycolic acid sold over the counter.
What is it?
The product is Brazilian Peel by Advanced Home Active. It contains 30% glycolic acid which is sold in stores such as Sephora. You can purchase a box of 4 syringes that contains the glycolic acid and a built in neutralizer. The treatment requires one application each week for 4 weeks.
What does it do?
This treatment diminishes fine lines, smooth’s skin, and gives you a glow as it restores your skin’s ability to restore collagen.
What’s NOT in it?
Brazilian Peel does not contain parabens, sulfates, synthetic dyes, synthetic fragrances, triclosan, or petrochemicals.
Results
The day after I tried the treatment I had a photo shoot. The photographer commented on how “flawless” my skin was. I was silent. I hesitantly said thank you and took my place for the photographer. Needless to say I was sold! This product was totally amazing to me. After the application I instantly noticed smaller pores, and an instant glow. There was a slight tingling upon application, but that quickly subsided. The process took 10 minutes and did not leave my skin feeling dry or irritated.
