Stephenie Meyer’s ‘The Host’ Now Set to Film in New Mexico and Louisiana

The long awaited film adaptation of Twilight series author Stephenie Meyer’s “The Host” is now holding auditions in Los Angeles for starring and supporting roles. Auditions are also taking place in Louisiana for smaller roles, and extras casting will take place there as well. Additional auditions and extras casting will take place in New Mexico when filming moves there after Louisiana shooting is complete.

Academy award nominated Andrew Niccol will direct “The Host” from an adapted screenplay that he wrote himself. His writer/director credits include Academy Award nominated “Gattaca,” “The Truman Show” which was nominated for three Academy Awards, “The Terminal,” “Lord of War” starring Nicolas Cage, and “In Time” starring Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried.

Stephenie Meyer is the author of the Twilight novel series. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 is now in theaters.

Talent must and be legally eligible to work in Louisiana, and/or New Mexico and in the United States. Candidates must also be available for production various dates beginning February 13, 2012 through May, 2012.
