What are some effect home remedies or herbs/vitamins that will help arrhythmias (heart beating out of rhythm)?
Q: I heard olive leaf extract can really help arrhythmias, (the heart beating out of rhythm) , is that true?Western medication is good, but alot of the time, causes side effects. Do you know of any home remedy or vitamin, natural substance to take that will help this problem? Thanks for all your feed back. God bless you.
A: My heart used to do all kinds of strange things after drinking diet soda. Even after I stopped drinking it completely, there would still be occasions that scared me, as my heart would do little flip flops, or feel like I was on the downside of a roller coaster. After a little research, I started taking omega 3, ubiquinol, and potassium/magnesium aspartate. Within a couple of weeks, the episodes stopped and I’ve not had another since.Omega 3 – Take two 1000 mg gelcap daily. (Can take a 3-6-9)Ubiquinol is like a concentrated form of CoQ10, but at a fraction of the price. I take 50 mg, one time daily. That’s the equivalent of taking 400 mg of coq10, which is very beneficial to your heart.Potassium and magnesium are also vital to proper heart function. Also very inexpensive.the best price I’ve found is at vitacost.com.Hope this helps.God Bless
What causes faintness, numbness, pain, and lightheaded drowsy and really abnormal feeling only while laying?
Q: For around three months now I started getting palpitations in the day and some chest pain and have for like a yr off and on get numbness and pain in the night but that happened off and on. Then in the last few months I started to have the numbness and pain every night. An EKG revealed a sinus arrhythmia and the heart monitor showed i had a rapid heart beat 2 times in one day of a 160 beats a minute. I was sent to cardiologist who did stress test and says my heart is fine and that I would not get faint while laying down if it was my heart. He said that when my heart beats over 135 beats a minute that on the left side of the heart don’t cluster normally and causes the palpitations but should not cause the feelings i have in the night. he said i can exercise and that overall heart is strong. a month ago i went to ER and received a medicine Diltiazem because my doctor told me i had a supra ventricular tachycardia and the ER said i had the symptoms of it and said it cause happen while laying down, rare but has happened and a cardiologist there told ER doctor to give me this med until i seen the cardiologist at my appt. The same night of taking the med all my problems stopped and so the heart Dr. told me he don’t see how it is helping cause heart is good but said if it helps u then take it when only u need it and thinks i need to see neurologist. I have 2 bulging disk in neck and 1 in back, pain and numbness starts in both arms then progressed to feet, face and head and body. then i get the lightheaded and fainting. I was told the numbness and pain in arms could be from neck but can the drowsy lightheaded faint and really weird feeling like high or something come from the neck. Any suggestions to look into will be greatly appreciated. I have had a fusion in two places in my neck in past, 6 yrs ago and was hit by a car. Even the last night after taking the medicine that i thought was helping me didn’t help last night. I had all the feelings again and was very strong and I felt stiff in morning and had some pain in stomach above belly button area, trouble sleeping, sore glands, perhaps this med is having a side effect on me after a month of taking it, but the dizzy, lightheaded, faint was all here with numbness and pain before taking the meds.
A: As you stated you had fusion within your neck. There maybe a possibility from your surgery on going event here. As for the heart, I would suggest that maybe seeing about going to the Mayo Clinic in WI, the results are amazing.
My problem is making all these OTHER problems… I’m worried somebody will find out about my “disorder”!?
Q: I’ve been struggling with being in my own skin lately; I can’t live with myself for another second. I try to fix my problems by cutting myself and purging (I do not binge, if I binged I would lose over my body). It helps a lot, but I just got diagnosed with Cardiac arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat). The doctor said it was because my electrolytes were crazy out of balance, but he didn’t suspect why. This is the first big side effect from my problem. I can’t control my HEART now, it’s driving me crazy. It’s another thing about me that’s not right. But not just that… I’m scared now. I can’t go on like this forever. But I can’t change. I don’t want to. What can I do? Help me please. I can’t tell ANYBODY. You guys are the only place I can go..
A: What do you want people here to do? If you don’t want to change, then we can’t make you. It seems like you simply just wanted to tell the public about your problems. If you do want help, then you should at least expect to change yourself, since you know you’re doing a lot of things that are not healthy.
