A: I have private health insurance tailored to my particular needs and how many visits I expect to have, with those providers each year. I have no hospital cover as we can not afford it, so we have to go to a public hospital if I or one/or all of my family members were involved in a car smash or had some other medical emergency. But we are not concerned about being in a public hospital because I know patients get better care there as they are teaching hospitals so the care has to be maintained at a very high level. In private hospitals the only difference is you are treated like you are in a hotel and may get a single room. The nursing skills are no better, nor the physio, OT nor the medical care etc, nor the amount of experience, in fact that is often less, much less. Even if you had a genetic condition running through your family there is no need for you to be the worst case scenario if you look after yourself.
