bad back at young age what do i do?


Q:i am only 13 years old ,male and my lower back is giving me problems.i lift weights almost everyday and play basketball and i like to jump alot and it hurts when i do.what do i do to get rid of it? my mom wont take me to the doctor because it costs to much money she says. so if you have any answers please tell me

Your mom should brings you to the doctor… Anyway, I would suggest you to stop lifting weight as it’s going to hurt more of your back. Make sure you do not sleep on soft mattress as it’s no good for your back too… Take care boy!
bengay, because it works despite the unappealing name. also you should stretch your back before you exersize. for example, lie on your stomach with your arms out all the way in front. lift your right arm and twist it around the right to the center of your back, then place it in front of you again. Do the same thing with your left arm. oh and do supermans, which is when you lie on your front and lift both your arms and legs as high as you can off the ground. do these excersizes before and after you exersize even though they’re not very manly looking! I learned them from pilates. which is also not very manly. but they work!! I play field hockey and it really strains my back so I do those stretches and it helps a TON. bengay also helps when all else fails.

…Stop lifting weights, playing basketball, and jumping? If you want to be active do things that are less strenuous to your back.
Is there a trained professional helping you with the weights? It may be that you have overdone it. I would suggest that if you have chronic back pain, you may have strained or ruptured a disk. I recommend that you find a doctor, as well as ease up on the weights and jumping. At the very least, you should stop doing things that exacerbate the problem. get back pac on wheels and see a doctor about yiour back drink milk
I feel bad that your mother won’t take you to a doctor. Hopefully it isn’t anything serious. Sometimes when you lift weights, if you don’t lift them correctly it will throw your back out. Chill out on the weights for awile…..good luck
