Create Cute Snowmen Using White Socks

When looking for wintertime crafts, consider making cute snowmen using white tube socks. Fill white tube socks of the desired size with soft pillow batting, except for the bottom, and do not over-stuff the tubes. Use clear thread to section off and secure the two cloth snowballs for each of these clever crafts. Fill the bases of the snowmen with dried beans, and hand-sew the bottoms closed using clear thread. The dry beans will enable the snowmen to stand upright.

To create their arms, attach real twigs using hot glue. Simply poke small holes in each side to hold the arms, and apply a small amount of clear-drying glue around the edges. Allow the glue to dry before decorating the crafts further.

Use small pieces of felt to create carrot noses and buttons to make coal mouths and eyes. Little hats can also be made from felt. Make felt circles of the appropriate size for the bases. Make the tops of the hats by cutting out rectangles, and form the sides of the hats by creating short tubes. Top the tubes with smaller felt circles. Use clear-drying glue especially for crafts when assembling the hats.

Complete the snowmen made with white socks by attaching colorful scarves. Crochet small scarves or make them using felt or scrap pieces of fabric. These easy crafts with white socks are absolutely adorable, and they make great shelf-top decorations

Create Big Beautiful Daisies with White Socks

When seeking spring and summertime crafts with white socks, consider making big beautiful daisies. One bright yellow or orange sock and two green socks are also required for each flower. Use small cotton toddler-size tube socks to make these eye-catching floral crafts. They are just the right size, and you will need eight white socks. Also required for each flower is a wooden dowel rod, green acrylic craft paint, a small craft brush, pillow batting, sharp scissors, and a needle and clear thread.

Begin by stuffing the white socks with fluffy pillow batting. The white socks should not be hard and completely full of batting. Leave about two inches at the ends, and secure them with knots.

Next, fill the end of the single orange or yellow sock. What you want is a circle. Tie off and cut away the rest of the material. The two green socks should also be filled with batting, and they can be filled completely. Secure the ends by sewing them closed with clear thread.

In the meantime, paint the dowel rod with green acrylic paint, and set it aside to dry. While the paint is drying, assemble the crafts. Begin by stitching the white socks used as petals to the orange or yellow center. Bend the two green socks in half and secure the toes to the ankle ends to create leaves.

Glue the flower to the top of the painted dowel rod, and glue the leaves to the appropriate location. Allow the glue to dry for twenty-four hours before handling.

Make several of these crafts with white and colored socks, and fill an entire vase. These are highly unique, and they make fantastic gifts. Best of all they are fun to create, and they make use of white socks and other simple craft supplies.
