The holiday season has arrived, and it’s beginning to look like Christmas in the Philadelphia area. As shoppers feverishly search for last-minute gifts, many children are compiling their lists for Santa Claus. One of the things that many children look forward to most during the holiday season, other than Christmas morning itself, is paying a visit to Santa Claus. Here is a look at five of the best places in the Philadelphia area to visit Santa.

Cherry Hill Mall

The Cherry Hill Mall in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, offers up a pleasant experience while your children wait for their turn on the big guy’s lap. Wait in line in Santa’s Garden, and enjoy the beautifully decorated mall. Santa is situated inside an alcove, and you can peek in at him while he sits with other children. The Cherry Hill Mall is roughly 20 minutes from downtown Philadelphia and has many photo packages available. Santa is at the Cherry Hill Mall from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week, except for Christmas Eve, when he is visiting from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Plymouth Meeting Mall

Another great place to visit Santa Claus is at the Plymouth Meeting Mall in Montgomery County. Just minutes from the Roxborough and Manayunk areas of Philadelphia, the Plymouth Meeting Mall is festively decorated and is offering a variety of photo packages. Santa will be at the Plymouth Meeting Mall from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday through Friday, and is open on Christmas Eve from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Gallery at Market East

The Gallery at Market East is a convenient location to visit Santa in Philadelphia. If you are shopping in Center City Philadelphia, stop into The Gallery at Market East and pay Santa Claus a visit. Situated in Center Court at Ninth and Market streets, the Gallery at Market East is offering up several packages. You can visit Santa starting at 10 a.m. and until the Mall closes for the day.
