Jennifer Lopez Breaks Down During Headline Performance at Mohegan Sun

She has always given off a strong, confident vibe, but over the weekend Jennifer Lopez fell victim to her emotions during a live performance at Mohegan Sun in Montville, Connecticut.

As previously reported by various news outlets, the “Waiting for Tonight” songstress performed a love song montage that paid tribute to three of her ex-lovers- Diddy, Ben Affleck, and Marc Anthony.

Offering up further details surrounding the incident, an insider told press, “It was the Marc part of the montage which choked her up. She can’t help but feel sad over the loss of a marriage that went on for so long. She’s emotional about the whole thing still.”

The source added, “Part of her dislikes him so much. But another part still loves him in a way, he’s the father of her children. It’s confusing. She’s going through a whole array of emotions right now.”

Overcome by emotion, Jennifer Lopez ended up running offstage during her headline performance at the Mohegan Sun Arena’s 15th anniversary celebration in Uncasville, CT on Saturday night (October 22).

The moment occurred after the 42-year-old offered up an acoustic rendition of “If You Had My Love” – after which she shakenly spoke to the sold-out crowd.

Heartfeltly revealing that it was “the first song I wrote about love,” Lopez continued, “what is love? As the last song I wrote about love… a lot has changed since then.”

Of the scene, a source on-hand told Radar Online, “At the end of the song she started sobbing and had to take a few moments to keep it together. She held it together for one song but then ran offstage crying.

The insider added, “She only sang a few more songs and she was obviously out of it. Everyone was so sad for her. It was really dramatic.”

Clearly impressed by J. Lo’s Mohegan performance, “Glee” star Lea Michele excitedly tweeted at show’s end, “Omg Jennifer Lopez is seriously AMAZING. She just killed it!!!!! She’s gorgeous and so beyond talented!!!”
