How to Apply Jewels to Fake Eyelashes

You work hard all week and, when the weekend comes, it’s off to the club you go. It’s kind of an unwritten rule; you wear your flashiest, most noticeable clothing and accessories so, of course, you’ll get noticed. After all, what’s the point of going if everyone doesn’t at least glance your way? They’ll definitely notice you – in particular, your eyes – when you wear false eyelashes. And, regular false eyelashes can give your eyes a more sultry look but, when you make jeweled eyelashes, the whole club will see you sparkle.

It’s not all that tricky to add jewels to fake eyelashes. The most helpful thing is the tray on which the eyelashes come when you buy them. The plastic tray, with ridged shapes of the eyelashes, keep them steady as you apply the jewels to them. If you’ve taken the eyelashes off and on the tray several times, they might not want to hold the shape of the eyelash outline. If needed, add a dot or two of eyelash glue to hold the eyelashes to the plastic ridge.

Many people try to apply things to fake lashes by using tweezers. They can help, sometimes, but when you’re applying a slick jewel, the jewel can often slip out of the tweezers. Instead, take a piece of Scotch tape and roll it into a tiny cylinder shape. This can help you hold the jewels without dropping them. Turn the tray with the eyelashes on it so that it’s backwards to you. Stick the end of the tape to the jewel top of the jewel and hold it like that as you apply a dot of eyelash glue to it. You’ll be affixing the jewels to the area that holds all the eyelashes, not to the eyelashes themselves. If you do the jewels correctly, they’ll line up with the edge of your own eyelid, right along the lash line.

Position the jewel, with glue on it, on the lash line of the false eyelashes. Allow the glue a few seconds to set then hold the jewel in place with a toothpick or similar implement, as you remove the tape. Continue doing this until you have jewels attached all the way across the lash line.

Instead of the rhinestones you can also attach tiny sequin or even glitter. Apply glue the lash line, sprinkle on the glitter, and when the glue is dry, gently blow on the glitter to remove excess. Jewels can be removed by holding down the end of the lash, pulling the jewel off, then holding down the area there, and pulling off the next one. To remove the glitter line, pull it off with the glue, then rinse off any remaining glitter.

You’ll adore the sparkly eyelashes that you can wear to the club or anywhere. Change colors, mix and match colors, and create other designs. Then, if you’ve got a glitzy event, you’ve got the eyelashes for it!
