Born Sofia Margarita Vergara Vergara, Sofia Vergara is a Columbian bombshell. She is very talented and since making her name known in America has played her hands at acting, modeling, and even entrepreneurship.
Sofia is now probably best known for her television role on ABC’s “Modern Family.” She was also seen in movies where she has worked also extensively. She has appeared in the films, “Chasing Papi”, “Meet the Browns”, “Big Trouble”, “Soul Plane”, and Tyler Perry’s “Madea Goes To Jail.” In “Madea Goes To Jail” she was recognized for her performance and earned an ALMA award nomination.
Wonderwall.com says that Vergara has one young boy, Manolo, from a previous marriage to a Joe Gonzalez. She was 19 years old when she had her son and talked to NyDailyNews.com about being a young teen mom. NyDailyNews.com reports her in saying “When I had Manolo, I was 19, and I had the energy for everything.” She says that she has a good relationship with her son. She also says that he teases her about her accent, and how it has inexplicably gotten stronger. In 2010, when she got her Emmy Nom she called to boast about it to him saying,”Right in your face! Even with my accent!”
Vergara says that her new boyfriend Florida politician Nick Loeb is now wanting to have kids and that it’s possible she could be passed that phase in her life. Nick Loeb is also reportedly soon to be running for a seat in the Senate.
She tells NyDailyNews.com,”My boyfriend now wants to have kids, and I don’t even want to think about it…I would have to get into that mindset again, the waking up early.”
Vergara also reveals that earlier in her life she was not happy with her body at all. This is hard to believe coming from a women who in Hollywood is known largely in part for her curves. She says that early on her body was disproportionate coupled with the fact that she was really skinny.
Vergara has a part in the new film,”The Smurfs,” which is a live action version of a cartoon that aired in the late 80’s and 90’s, and was about small blue skinned dwarf-like creatures. Vergara plays a powerful woman who heads a cosmetics development company. Her character in a way contrasts that of “Gloria” who is the character she plays on ABC’s hit family comedy, “ModernFamily,” alongside her older co-star and husband on the show Ed O’Neil. A show that in July of 2010, Vergara earned an Emmy nomination for her work on.
ABClocal.com has her saying,”It was very different from Gloria, the character Odile..I mean, they’re both strong….strong personalities, but she would do things that Gloria would never do.” Currently Sofia is on a break from filming on her current family comedy show.
Sofia is known for her curves, talent, allure, and funny disposition on television. Television and film has been her friend, and she in turn has made them better with her presence.
