I never thought I would see the day, but Taylor Swift has a sex scandal. In fact, when I found out, I had to do a double take. No, scratch that, a triple take.
In today’s society, when every celeb out there has nude photos or videos somewhere, it should hardly come as a surprise. But this is Taylor Swift. She probably still plays with Barbie dolls. She sings about fairytale princesses. For goodness sakes, it just cannot be.
Then I looked at the photo, and it made me a little sad. I think it might just be. I am trying really hard to not believe the picture on the Celebrity Jihad page, and I am desperately seeking signs that the girl in the photo is somehow different, and therefore not Taylor. But it is hard. Even in the bad lighting it looks like her. A lot like her.
Again, I am totally hoping it is not. However, if it is, worse than my own bubble that has been burst, I am sorry for all the little girls out there who practically worshipped her. She is one of the few celebs that I am completely comfortable with my daughter idolizing, as I am sure a lot of other parents feel the same. She is pure, innocent, and has not yet been encapsulated by any of the grown up drama that seems to surround every other celebrity figure at one time or another. I guess this is her time.
Even though she, and her handlers, are suing, vehemently opposing the picture, in the event that the picture is really of her, I am at least content knowing that the really little girls out there (like my daughter) don’t have to know about any of this, and they can continue mooning over her, regarding her as a an angel. Keep singing Taylor. And in case that really is you, and you made a mistake, just keep your shirt on from now on and we will let this one pass.
