Top 5 Nintendo Wii Game Show Games

The Wii controller has become an official game show buzzer through dozens of Wii game show games. Some titles like Deal or No Deal do not offer enough replay value to make it worth the cost or effort, but other games encompass every aspect of the show and provide a great multi-player environment.

If only the prizes were real then these game show titles would be true gems.

Press Your Luck

You’ll be hearing a lot of “No Whammies!” in your living room with the faithful adaptation of the faithful 1980s game show “Press Your Luck.” Thankfully the creators decided to base the game off the original show rather the GSN remake.

In the game, players answer multiple choice questions to earn money and spins on the infamous Whammy wheel. Once the wheel round begins, players spin and stop on prizes or a Whammy. If a player gets a Whammy, they get to see a random animation of the colorful Whammies stealing their money away.

The replay value comes with the in-game store. Using the prize winnings, players can buy clothes and accessories to customize their in-game avatar. Press Your Luck supports 1 to 3 players.

Price is Right 2010 Edition

The Price is Right TV show features dozens of different pricing games and games of chance that player’s participate in. For the Wii edition, the game makers mixed real video clips and more than 20 different mini-games to play.

The highlight here is the multi-player version that goes through the actual process of the show. One through four players play the pricing round with the winner getting to go on stage and play a game. After three rounds, the Big Wheel is spun until you reach the final showcase.

This game has a lot of replay value for the variety of items to price, selection of games and both the single player and multi-player modes.

Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune 2-Pack

Instead of purchasing these titles separately, a two pack has added value and made the titles worth the price. Each game recreates the classic shows with digital versions of the hosts. What you expect is what you get here, but there does not need to be fancy extras for the game to reach expectations.

Thousands of questions and puzzles make it worth the purchase.

Family Feud 2010 Edition

Answer questions using the most popular choices and win big during this adaptation of the long-running game show. The game is hosted by a general host and features 1,000 different topics to play through. The custom characters will allow you to make your own fictional family. The game includes all the features of the actual “Family Feud” game show including the Fast-Money round.

Without a keyboard, it does not rank up there with computer versions of this game, but you can still learn to type fast with the Wii remote and keep pacing up in the game.
