There are pain songs, songs about mascara and how it runs and songs about Kentucky Rain [two generations of songs on this subject.] There are soulful songs about falling in love and finding god,
patriotic songs for your country, songs about growing up and growing old, Rod Stewart/Forever
Young, heavy metal songs about banging your head, songs for compassion and even songs
about fashion. If somebody’s experienced it, felt it or gone through it, there’s probably a song
about it or one in the works.
Songs about wrong and right and there’s even songs about doing time, Johnny Cash wrote the best
lines. A few years ago, I watched a special about driving songs. I can’t remember the exact list,
but Cash’s, One Piece At A Time is number one in my book.
There are songs for the blues and for the joy, songs you sing in the morning and Friday night.
Chick songs sung by chicks and Michael Bolton, oh how the women love him. Good songs, what
they all have in common is the ability to touch your heart and mind and you always want to hear
them one more, one more time.
Enough! Here’s my latest list of hits that just won’t quit!
