A: Try different oil in mix, and make sure it is right proportions! Too much oil in fuel mix makes too much smoke!! Also too rich mixture makes a lot of smoke, so check to see that carb is proplerly set! Also run for a few minutes to make sure that any oil sitting in exhaust (muffler) is fully burned out (it will burn better when it gets “good and hot”! Make sure you have fresh gas, — (old gas may be half rotten by now)!As for rings etc, — it shouldn’t make any differnce on smoke, – as 2 stroke has no crankcase (sump)to pull oil out of! Here rings make the difference in whether it runs or don’t run!!If this has the “automatic mix, – shut it off and mix your own, — then you are sure that oil gets into fuel (and right proportions), — if oil nozzle gets plugged up and delivers no oil, – it causes engine to “end”!

You can any cheap fog/smoke machine in the market, you need ice (even ice from fridge, a tube with a circumference of at least 4-6 inches and with length of 1 meter will do. From the smoke output of the fog machine, insert the tube in ice inside. start the fog machine and you will notice that the smoke coming out of the tube will just spread an stay on the floor. We’ve tried it and it looks great
