Why should the voice of a child be sad
when I know a child’s voice
should always be glad
You ask why do you cry
when nothing seems wrong
I answer because
I must be the voice
of the children done wrong
Although my voice may seem small and meek
still I cry for those so afraid to speak
Too many children are hurt everyday
by the people they love
in the wrongest of ways
I must take a stand for the child who cries
because they have been filled
with too many lies
They must be set free
from their living hell
So if I don’t speak
whoever will
