A: First of all, how far along are you? Have you been getting sick all along? Are you just sick from the migraine (migraines make a lot of people sick to their stomach)? Have you always gotten migraines? I know you say that it isn’t morning sickness, but some people get sick off and on throughout pregnancy. You could also have some sort of a bug or virus that is making you sick. 51 is a low for a glucose reading. Normal fasting range for an adult is 65-99. I would definitely call your doctor and get in as soon as you can, but I would hope the hospital wouldn’t have sent you home if they were concerned about this. The fact that your BP was 106/44 one time doesn’t mean much. Some people are always low. Do you know what is normal for you?Tylenol never helped me much when i was pregnant, but you really can’t take anything else. Tylenol really isn’t going to help a migraine much. Sometimes sugar helps settle the stomach a little, hence the oreos i would guess. And bring up your blood sugar maybe. Have you tried saltines and ginger ale? the ginger and sugar helps settle the stomach usually.
Has anyone noticed a change in the smell of your urine while pregnant?
Q: I was just browsing someother chat boards online and seen discussions of women who said their urine had a strong smell to it during early pregnancy..I know vitamins can do it, but is it a sign of preg??? It just kinda caught my attention because I was joking with my husband just yesterday that my pee smells like cereal….cheerios or puffed wheat…lol I know vitamins can do it, but I dont take vitamins regularly and I drink lots of water and liquids..and I feel fine except for oncoming menstration symptoms(sore boobs, tiredness etc)ok no RUDE ppl please…Its an obvious but not a foul smell….I dont mean i bring it to my nose or anything just when I go to the bathroom I can smell it. mostly in the morning thoughAlso I havent changed my diet at all….
A: It’s something pregnant women often say but urine can also take on the smell of the things you eat so I wouldn’t consider it something that is significant only to pregnancy. Good luck to you!
why don’t they just qurantine pregnant women?
Q: ok not really i just need to vent, you see i feel like thats the only way id be safe, is if i was qurantined, and fed only bread water and prenatal vitamins lol. i am just stressed, because i am 33 weeks pregnant today, and now each day feels like a year, i can’t do anything i want. i can eat the foods i want, i can’t have a drink, and noone put me down for wanting a drink i want this baby more than anything, its just itd be nice to go have a dirnk.and on top of that, i worry so much about the baby 24/7 i try not to worry about him, but its kind of hard when i sit here and stare at this stupid computer screen all day, because there is nothing else to do. keep in mind i live in a town of 1000 people, and don’t really know anyone, so theres not much to do. ok really sorry i am done now, just needed to vent
A: Maybe you could find a class in your area that intrests you, like a cooking class, or a craft class. That way, it would get you out around people, but still give you something to do with your time. Then you take what you learn in class and do it at home. That will at least get you off the computer. You can read a book. I’m reading some really good series (2 of them!) right now. Let me know if you want the names. They are easy reads, but also interesting and really easy to get into. Try organizing closets, or re-organizing the babies room. Take a walk. You can do this alone, or with your significant other. Maybe you would meet some people that way. You could go walk around a shopping center like a mall or something. You don’t have to buy anything, just looking is fun. You could volunteer somewhere for a few weeks. It will lift your spirits, and at least you’ll get to talk to other people. You could look into mommy groups in your area now. Then when you have the baby, you can start to do activities with other moms. Or check into parenting groups in your area. You can have a glass of wine every once in a while. Not more then once or twice a week at this point, but it won’t harm you or the baby to have a glass every now and then. I wouldn’t really recommend drinking, but if you want, once or twice a week will be fine. Why can’t you eat the foods you like? Unless it’s sushi, or soft cheeses, you should be fine. If you have Gestational Diabetes, you have to be careful, but a few bites of something you like isn’t going to kill you. I think these days we are so careful with pregnant women. They say you can’t take meds for things, that you can’t eat certain things, can’t do certain activities. It’s like we have been banned from normal society. I’m one of the liberal practitioners who think that a pregnant woman should get to do most of the things they enjoy. You don’t need to be isolated, or not get to do anything. You should be active, you should be able to eat almost anything and you should be able to take meds if you need them. Some doctors aren’t like this, and if your’s is one of them, and you aren’t like that, you may want to find a new doctor before your next baby. Right now, you are stuck with the doctor you have, but you can switch for your next one. Try not to worry!!! This isn’t going to help you at all. Just think, you only have 5-7 weeks left. That’s not so long. The end is near!! Try to concentrate on the good things. Good luck!! I hope some of this helps!!
