Q: My Horse has terrible fear of traffic. For the first time we live closer to road and he will not go any where near it. He is not at all like himself when we try to walk down our road. Can any one help me with a way to get him over being so traffic shy?~Thank You~

A: A couple of things. 1) Don’t tense up when u see traffic, thinking he will get scared. because then he feels you are tense, and that is like confirmation that it is smething to be scared of. so specifically, when u see traffic coming, relax your legs, and don’t shorten reins or anything. 2) Try outrides with other horses. Stay at the front, but (if there is space!) have other horses he knows next to him, and at least behind him.3) Remember, he could have had terrible experiences in tis past, so BE PATIENT!4) Try take an apple ad coax him a bit closer towards it, speaking to him because your voice must be familiar.5) try putting him i a field by a road so he ill get used to it. my pony used to be terrified of motorbikes. Then i moved stables to somewhere with lots of motorbikes, and where kids ride loud quadbikes around the place. Q: When I say this I mean how do you make the first move on a girl without her being weirded out. I have had a couple girlfriends that wanted to end the relationship because I didn’t kiss them or hold there hand or make them feel special…. so I guess I just get really nervous. A: You do not completely get over shyness, but I think that with age and more life experiences you tend to become less shy. With that said the best way to get over shyness is to be comfortable with yourself and your abilities. If you like to sing and want to sing in front of people then go somewhere that you are able to, but make sure that the first few times you do their are not that many people there. You are not afraid of singing in front of people, you are afraid of people judging you badly when you are singing.
