On Saturday September 24, 2011, one of the most popular Harvest Fairs in Central Connecticut will be taking place rain or shine in Wethersfield, Connecticut. The St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Harvest Fair in Wethersfield, Connecticut is a much looked forward to event that consistently draws visitors from near and far.

The fair will be held on the front lawn of the church, as well as indoors at the street level. This harvest fair is known for its great selections of handmade crafts, baked goods and seasonal items. A fun atmosphere is always present at this fair which is attended by people of all ages. Interestingly, the bulk of the items for sale at this well – attended fair are made by members of the St.Paul’s Lutheran Church congregation.

This year, (In 2011) a special pot roast dinner prepared by a renowned chef will be held after the Harvest Fair, later that evening. The pot roast dinner will take place in the handicapped accessible Parish Education building. Tickets for the dinner will be sold during the fair and can also be obtained through the church office.

The ‘Country Store’ at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Harvest Fair is a great place to stock up on a wide variety of high quality products, many of which are homemade. Some of the items that can be found at the Country Store are homemade relishes, jams, lotions, greeting cards and therapeutic wraps. In addition, items such as pumpkins, apples, apple cider and honey are lilely to be found in this section of the Harvest Fair.

Various types of late summer / early fall plants and gardening items are usually offered at this event and the selection of hardy mums is always impressive.

Recognizing the importance of our animal companions, the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Harvest Fair will also include a pet booth. At this booth, a nice selection of homemade pet toys and tasty pet treats will be available.

Many people visit the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Harvest Fair to purchase Christmas and other holiday gifts. A broad spectrum of one – of – a – kind, handmade craft items are always available at this Wethersfield, Connecticut event.

Beautiful handmade textile items, such as towels, washcloths, blankets and many other items are usually available at this harvest fair, as are a host of Halloween, Thanksgiving and autumn – related craft items, including centerpieces.

Proceeds from this harvest fair will be used for a project at the church. Plenty of free on – site parking is provided on the church grounds and admission to the fair is free.
