Disney Cruises from Port Canaveral

Overview:

Port Canaveral, located on the east coast in central Florida near the famous Cocoa Beach and Kennedy Space Center Complex, offers travelers an abundance of cruise options. Disney Cruise Line ships: Disney Magic, Disney Wonder and Disney Dream, depart from Port Canaveral going to exotic places like the Bahamas, a private Disney island plus both the eastern and western Caribbean regions. Disney cruise ships were built to honor the striking ocean liners of the past, but feature the latest technology and provide entertainment and activities with families in mind.

Disney Magic

Disney Magic sails on seven night cruises out of Port Canaveral nearly every Saturday all year long, except for June, July and August. One week the ship sails to western Caribbean and the next week it travels to the eastern Caribbean. Passengers going to the western Caribbean Disney cruise will get a chance to experience tropical ports of call including Key West (Florida), Grand Cayman (Cayman Islands), Cozumel (Mexico) and Disney’s private island-Castaway Cay. Passengers traveling to the eastern Caribbean region will depart from Port Canaveral and make stops in St. Thomas (U.S. Virgin Islands), St. Maarten (Netherland Antilles) and Disney’s private island-Castaway Cay.

The first night aboard the all of the Disney cruises features a Disney exclusive-Adventures Away! Sail-Away Celebration-this deck party includes some of the ship’s crewmembers and Disney characters singing and dancing.

Disney Wonder

The Disney Wonder departs from Cape Canaveral all year long taking passengers on 3-, 4- or 5-night Bahamian cruises with itineraries that include stops at Nassau and Disney’s private island-Castaway Cay. The four night cruise adds a “day at sea” and the five night cruise features a day at seas plus two stops at Castaway Cay, once on the way out and then again the day before returning to Port Canaveral. Some of five night cruises also include a stop in Key West, Florida. Passengers aboard Disney Wonder will get a chance to experience tropical island beaches and explore historical regions in Nassau.

Disney Dream

The Disney Dream cruises departing from Port Canaveral include 3-, 4- or 5-night Bahamian cruises with itineraries that include stops at Nassau and Disney’s private island-Castaway Cay. These cruises depart every month of the year with the same added “at sea” days as well as extra stops at Key West, Florida and Castaway Cay. The difference is the ship, which is the newest of the Disney Cruise Line fleet. Disney Dream is around 40 percent larger than the other Disney cruise ships and features two additional decks. One of the most distinguishable differences is the worlds first at sea “water coaster” -AquaDuck. This exhilarating coaster takes swimmers 765 feet along a see-though tube starting from Deck 12, and then goes up and down and out over the ocean and back that provides amazing views of the ship and water below and includes a four deck drop into a lazy river.
