Must See City’s in Germany

Germany is a popular tourist destination with its amazingly large collection of historical venues, museums and churches and the notorious beer halls will draw you in and surprise you. Germany offers so much for the eye the scenery is amazing and the possibility of fulfilling a childhood dream of living in a castle can come true but if you prefer you can take a romantic cruise on the Rhine River.

Starting off with Berlin, it offers a variety of attractions for those of all ages and you can always find something fun and interesting to do. Whether this is a family vacation or a solo excursion you will find entertainment for all. A stop should be made at the Brandenburg Gate in the west side of the city, this gate was used as a toll gate when first erected but now is a symbol of the reunification of Germany, it is not to be missed! For those that prefer to be taken around there are many great tours offered that will show you all the amazing sites in this beautiful city. For the “foodies” there is a large variety of foods and beverages available in Berlin, for those food connoisseurs heaven awaits in Berlin.

Munich near the German Alps offers absolutely breathtaking views and with such a large selection of activities it is hard to pick where to start. You can start your day with a sailing trip on Lake Starnberg to the southwest of Munich while you can go to any of the many skiing slopes in the afternoon. There are also many nighttime activities such as bars, beer halls, dancing and live music. You can always visit one of the world’s best known castles, Neuschwanstein Castle. The castle itself is almost 150 years old and offers not only spectacular views but architecture that is not seen elsewhere, the castle has also been used in several movies and can have up to 6,000 visitors per day.

Cologne this beautiful city offers a unique selection of attractions for visitors starting with the fact that the town resides on either side of the Rhine River. Not only does Cologne offer a multitude of museums and a plethora of art galleries to explore, a new attraction has emerged the new E-sports facility where the games are played by teams, but it is all done on the pc, it is an interesting site to see. You can enjoy a leisurely cruise down the Rhine or Cologne Rivers, or you can visit the Cologne Cathedral which is the city’s most famous monument. If you want to explore on your own then you can wind through the many historic districts in Cologne and then enjoy one of the cities nightclubs for dinner and some dancing.

Berlin, Munich and Cologne are just a few of the many attractive areas of the country to visit but no matter where you end up in this beautiful country you will surely be welcomed and have a chest full of memories to take home with you.
