is it true that you can actually undergo surgery to change your eye color?
Q: i have always wanted hazel-green eyes and i wanted to know if this is actually possible
A: You should also consider that the discs put into the eye are essentially prosthetic replacements. The procedure is carried out world wide but not on an elective basis (other than Panama). Sufferers of severe eye trauma sometimes require iris replacements and these discs are then inserted. The discs are solid, ie: they cannot change shape. Your pupil will remain in a fixed position – it won’t be able to dilate or constrict. Your visual ability will be completely denuded. This is not a procedure you should ever want done, hence it is not offered on the elective market.
I had lasik 12 yrs ago, if you had lasik did you notice your eye color change?
Q: My birth certificate and my license says I have brown eyes. but many people lately have said they are more green. and I am now noticing that when I wear green the color in my eyes stands out. before surgery I never could see my eyes clearly and I never noticed since really but lately so many people have said something.I didn’t think it was possible to change eye color from lasik. has anyone else noticed this.or is it possibly that in the ’50s when a baby was born you had either blue or brown eyes?its funny because both my kids have amazing blue eyes. they aren’t real green but a faint like army green almost. weird.
A: I don’t believe that lasik can change the color, as it just changes the shape of the cornea. But what you described is just like my grandmothers. Hers was considered “hazel” in color, sometimes brown, sometimes green….yet none of us got that unique color. I had lasik about 6 years ago. I have found I have develped occular migrains since then. But nothing else.
Changing Permanent Eye Colors ?
Q: I read somewhere that your eye color is controlled by the amount and type of pigment in your eyes.Is it possible to control this pigment by constantly looking at something or having surgery; thus changing the color of your eyes permanently?
A: the only thing I can think of is people dying their eyes blue. It’s some sort of tattoo and it’s still experimental right now but you’re eyes probably aren’t going to become blue by staring at blue construction paper all day.
