LaMarcus Aldridge led the Portland Trail Blazers to a nice victory over the Toronto Raptors on Friday night (Jan. 20). It almost seemed too easy for him, as Aldridge would finish 12-for-25 from the field for 33 points while grabbing 23 rebounds. Aldridge also had 5 assists and 2 steals on the night, putting up his best statistical line since he became a member of the Blazers.
Raymond Felton would finish with 14 points, Jamal Crawford had 10 and Nicolas Batum scored 9 in a game that was won in a team effort. 10 Blazers saw significant action against the Raptors and the team was superior on the glass. Three players finished with at least 10 rebounds and the team posted 55 total on the night.
This win allowed the Blazers to improve to 9-6 on the season, but the team remains in fourth place in the Northwest division. It was an important win all the same, especially with how the Blazers jumped out to a 27-14 lead at the end of the first quarter. It was a lead that was threatened at times, but the Blazers held on to win the only game that the two teams will play in 2012.
