Solid Roots

Rooted in the earth,
Trunk stable and coarse,
Seen multitude of seasons,
Wind hits you with force,

Only leaves dance in the cacophony of the waves,
Wind, and wilting leaves in the harbor,
Leaves and branches gesticulate and play
With the breeze whispering the news of the day,

Though nothing is symmetric,
Everything about you is perfect,
As you reflect mankind,
Rooted in the earth.
