Proactive is the only thing that has worked for me and I have tried a lot of meds for my face including an antibotic. Don’t take an antibotic. It really killed off my good bacteria that fought off germs. I was sick for about a year with strep throat, the flu, etc.clerasil is REALLY good!

I have had acne problems almost my whole life (I’m 24). I have always used a salicylic acid treatment for exfoliation. Recently I was researching different treatments and stumbled across benzoil peroxide. this has by far been the most effective product I’ve ever used, and the generic stuff works just as well as the name brand stuff (in my opinion, better). Just be sure to use lotion too, or your skin will get dry. And stick to your skin care regime. that’s the key!
I have found, from experience, if you have a daily regime and stick to it religiously your acne will lesson. Wash your face with a good cleanser (find one with a toner already in – saves a step) and follow with a moisturizer (no matter the age). I use Avon products, 2 in 1 cleanser followed with a moisturizer.Follow this regime morning and night and you WILL see a difference in two weeks. You may have more acne breakouts during this two week period, this is normal. Stick with the routine – don’t even skip a night because you are too tired.
