Pantyliners?

I’ve been wearing pantyliners everyday since I was about 14 or 15 because I felt uncomfortable with discharge. Now I’m 23 and I can’t live without them, but lately I’ve been feeling really irritated and itchy. Could wearing pantyliners all day, everyday be bad? I don’t know if it matters, but I’m married and have 2 kids, my mom always tells me that going through the changes of “womanhood” may change the way my body reacts because sometimes when I wear a pad during my period, I get itchy too, or irritated and my periods usually last about 8 days. I just wanted to know what other women think or if they’ve had the same experiences.
