How come my 14 year-old daughter hasn't had her period for about four months?
She’s been on a diet for four months until now… Not eating ANY junk food, soda, bread, and rice… Do you think that’s the case? She’s lacking some foods she should be eating like (brown) rice and whole grain/wheat bread? And NO she’s not pregnant! Why do you think she hasn’t had her period in so long? Please give me a real answer. Thank you. 🙂

At that early stage, it’s normal for the menstruation to be irregular. And the flow to vary. It might be heavy on some and light on other months. Sometimes, many months are skipped in between menstrual cycles. This is quite normal. Now, especially, if she’s dieting. It can create havoc to the body.due to chemical imbalance and hormonal levels. You shouldn’t worry.though. I heard some women skipped their menstruation for almost a year. Advise her to eat foods in the 4 food groups. Drink plenty of water. Eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. By avoiding junk food, she’s on the right track. Tell her she needs to exercise too. If she wants to lose weight-diet and exercise go hand in hand.
