Some women do say that their libido increases just before a period. This is due to the effects of the 2 main female hormones.Think of the menstrual cycle as 28 days long on average.Day 0 is the first day of menstruation/period.From days 10 – 15 of the cycle, oestrogen hormone peaks.(Oestrogen is a bit like female viagra!) This is the fertile time of the menstrual cycle when the body is preparing for and undergoing ovulation. Our bodies encourage us to be sexually active during this time to ensure procreation continues. From about days 16 – 24 oestrogen levels remain high, however progesterone hormone is also being released into the body in huge amounts. This latter hormone affects the oestrogen receptors, so, even though oestrogen is still abundant in our system, our receptors are virtually unable to detect it and we don’t feel the benefit. (Progesterone is about as good for our libido as Osama Bin Laden, URGH!)At around day 25, both hormones reduce. Progesterone is usually the fastest to diminish, and at the very end the cycle levels are 0, so we get to feel the libido increasing affects of oestrogen for a couple of days if we’re lucky.Bleeding is caused by the withdrawal of progesterone, and voila, here’s our period. When you think about it, mother nature is very clever. She’s provided us with a natural tool for reproduction and contraception in the form of oestrogen. Trick is to get them the right way round!I really hope this helps.
i have no idea, mines on full steam ahead 24/7..
I know mines certainly does and especially during, dont know why though.
its so true and man I dunno why!!!! my mom jokes around and says its “la luna” (the moon)
Yes, it increases. your body thinks it ready to procreate so your hormones support those urges. Men also find women more attractive because of the pheromones.
yes defo and during and just after, rest of time i just can’t be bothered lmao
no idea
Yes. Natures way of making fertilizationat the optimum time more likely!
es it does its a hormonal response. Really its just like any animal/mammal but they are on heat. Its easy to tell your vaginal mucus thickens and is more responsive to men. Kind Regards Dirky
its all in the hormones they are more active during the menstral cycle usually you get “horny” into your 3rd-5th day of your period
Yes. When your ovulating you can become pregnant, which means that evolution wise thats the time to get busy. Your actual bloody part is the flushing of the unfertilized egg to set up another egg in case you didn’t get pregnant because the last one malfunctioned. Hormonal changes do weird things to your body! Some women find before their period their libido increases, many find that around time of ovulation their libido is sky high.
yes it does and on her period too its the change of hormones totally normal
It depends on the woman; logically women are going to be more horny either during their fertile period or during menstruation – first of course fertile period (usually a week after menstruation) for procreation, second because menstruation is such a personal time with attention focused on our sexual anatomy. It doesn’t really stand to reason the idea of women getting higher libedo before menstruation given as there would be no real biological reason for it as far as I can see.I cannot say I know of any women that do have higher libidos just before menstruation, however of course women do, and simply it comes down to hormones. I’m of the mind that there are more women with either irregular cycles or suppressed cycles then with normal cycles so hormones could be all over the place for a lot of women.
