Should I go ahead with Ginseng vitamin for acne cure ?
Q: I’am considering taking a ginseng vitamin, actually am not too sure if it is a vitamin coz I heard it by word of mouth that it is a sort of vitamin. It is prescribed by a doctor who had practiced Chinese medicine and it seems the effects are really good for people with acne. Some people are cured in 10 day or tahts what I heard. So my mom suggested I try it too, for one month. But I really have my doubts regarding the side effects.Ginseng is quite new to me.Also, I go often to a dermalogists (am not taking any oral medicines right now though) so should I go ahead with this vitamin?Would like to know if anyone had taken such vitamin for acne and how was the result and usually how long does it take?By the way, I have to take 6 vitamins everyday i.e. 3 each after lunch and after dinner.
A: Well, Ginseng is an herb and is often referred to as a supplement. Vitamins are also referred to as supplements, so a lot of people just call supplements vitamins… it’s not unusual at all ;-)You’ve actually just stumbled across one of the best parts about herbs and supplements, too… there are basically no side effects. Drugs have all sorts of side effects because they force reactions that your body may not normally do. Supplements on the other hand help by giving your body nourishment it needs so your body sees it very similarly to eating certain foods. If your doctor has specifically recommended that you take it (including the type and dosage), I would definitely say go for it! It helps a LOT of people with all sorts of things from stress relief to energy to mood support. Oh, and as long as your doctor knows about all the other pills you’re taking (whether they are supplements or drugs), it’s perfectly fine that you’re already taking 6 products… heck, I know several people that take more than 80 a day. LOL!Good luck and I hope I helped!
Best and Fast Acne cure?
Q: I’m taking accutane and I’m getting dry skin/ dry lips, all the fun stuff.I’m just starting my 3rd month and its cleared up a lot of my forehead and for some reason, 1 side of my face.. the other side is “clearing” but its still not very good. they aren’t deep cysts, only red pimples all over.In addition, my face is pretty red all over just from having the pimples there. The dermatologist told me not to take any pills while taking acutane, so I’m not sure if that means vitamins as well?I have prom in a week and I’d really appreciate it if I could get some help here..1st – I’ve heard about all the cucumber paste, tomato, basil, tooth paste (I’ve heard it doesn’t work) and a lot of other natural paths, but what is the simplest home remedy that has for sure worked for you? How long did you do it and what were the effects? (reduce redness, swelling, clear acne, etc.)2nd – Should I take vitamins while taking acutane? And if so, what type of vitamins are best for clear skin?3rd – I read that milk and those products can be bad for your skin, yet I also read yogurts are extremely healthy for your skin – what is your knowledge on this?4th – I use a moisturizer that is for sensitive skin since my skin is dry from the accutane. I don’t need ProActive or suggestions like these please.I need natural remedies, help on vitamins, information like this. Long term would be helpful, and especially things that will help by next Saturday would be the best.(Also, I have a normal eating diet, probably less fatty than most, and I drink little to no pop. I don’t sleep on a certain side of my face and I change pillow/sheets often.)I need to reduce redness and clear up my face. Please help, and thank you.
A: For [preventing] acne Benzoyl peroxide, 2%, 5% or 10% or w/e with oil-free moisturizer (use after the bp has dried up), bee propolis powder (also apparently speeds up healing redness) and occasionally some AHA or whatever acids – but i’d get a breakout sometimes after them. For redness i use vitamin k oxyde cream – it gets worse for about 20 seconds then it’s okay. I do get acne after eating a cereal/ drinking milk… but i got told by my doctor that the diet has no impact on acne, so not sure..I also took garlic, twice a day, a bit better than with the odorless garlic tablets.Make sure you test some of these products before you use them…
