Abdominal pain, bloating and pain after sex….?
Q: My stomach is feeling permanently bloated, I’m very tired, have little appetite, fairly strong abdominal pain, a feeling like something is pressing down at the bottom of my vagina and after sex on saturday I had really strong period pain all day. Sometimes the pains are sharp and mostly they’re dull. I had a diseased ovary removed last year and have polycystic ovarian syndrome (non-confirmed). I am due to go to women’s health in a few weeks as I’ve been having irregular bleeding and am probably going to have a hysterectomy. My question is should I wait and hang on or should I go and see the gp again. I’m scaring myself silly looking at net info on pain. Has anyone else had similar symptoms? If so what was the diagnosis?
A: Ok, this has never happened to me, mainly because I have not done anything. But I would say if it doesn’t go away in about 3 days, go to the doctor. Oh, and STOP LOOKING AT STUFF ON THE INTERNET! Half the stuff is not true, and the other half may be, but it is like so dramatized (you know what I mean lol) and it’s partly meant to scare people! Only YOUR doctor can tell you because she is YOUR doctor. Good luck, and God Bless You!
Strange Appendicitis like abdominal pain & bloating (Normal white blood cells count, CT Scan normal…)?
Q: I often have severe stomach pain that gives me cramps all night. After some diarrhoea and vomiting, I would feel better. 2 weeks ago I got one that migrated to lower right side the next day, I went to ER, at first they thought it was acute appendicitis, I had pain in lower right abdominal when pressed down and on rebound. However, my white blood cell counts was normal, no fever, and the CT scan came back normal with a slight thickening of a part of walls in the intestine. Basically, I was fine…It has been 2 weeks now, and suddenly, I can feel pain there again… it’s strange though, it doesn’t hurt when I press down on it. Once, it felt like there’s air moving inside. It usually hurts when I make a sudden move. The doctor that saw me at the ER have’t returned my call yet, and I’m afraid to go there and waste hundreds of dollars and they can’t figure out what’s causing it… Hope someone on Yahoo had similar experience & can help… Thanks.
A: I would see a Gastroenterologist. Gastroenterologists are medical doctors who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the digestive system.
What is wrong with me? Abdominal pain/bloating?
Q: I have had 2 of these “attacks” since August. Both have lasted about 2-3 weeks. I have a aching/bloating feeling on my left lower/mid abdomen. Feels more bloated than anything else, but it does ache. No sharp pains. I had 2 CT scans back in August and one today and both have come up negative. All with Contrast. No Diverticulitis. My stools have been thin (during both attacks) and vary in color. (from light brown to dark green) and I would say it feels like I have diarrhea. (Constantly going) I had a stool test, for blood, back in September and it came up negative. During September and October, my stools were pretty much normal in size and consistency. I, also, had a ultra sound on my gall bladder today and he said it needs to be taken out, but that the gall bladder has nothing to do with my left side. Could this be IBS? I’m just really confused. The doctor sounded confused on the phone a little while ago. Has anyone else went through something like this? Any advice? or Information?
A: It sounds like IBS. Cut soda/alcohol/caffeine. Keep hydrated with water and exercise. If you don’t get it sorted now it will make your life miserable.
