Christmas time is finally here
For it’s a holiday that we’ve waited for all year
Putting up trees and stringing the lights
Sitting at home on cold, snowy nights
The shopping has all been done
The presents are under the tree
Once again we went overboard
And had a bit of a shopping spree
The house is getting full
Family arriving from far away places
People we haven’t seen in such a long time
Everyone sharing holiday embraces
The ladies are setting the table
Finishing up the last touches
The guys are in the other room
Screaming at the TV and sitting on the couches
Finally its time to eat, we take our places at the table
Eating and drinking and being merry
Thank goodness we are all able…..
To be together on such a day like this
