Review of Pinata Cheese Enchilada Frozen Dinner

I love Mexican food so when I came across a Pinata Cheese Enchilada Frozen Dinner in the frozen meals section of my local Dollar Tree store, I was delighted! This meal looked great and the price was right. I decided to purchase it, try it and write a product review all about my experience with it. Here is what I discovered!

I bought one Pinata Cheese Enchilada Frozen Dinner for only one dollar. That is a very food budget friendly price. I was not familiar with the Pinata brand name. I discovered that this meal is a Don Miguel Mexican Foods Inc. product. Very interesting. This dinner has a large cheese filled enchilada, chili sauce, refried beans and Spanish rice. I love that combination and I could not wait to taste this meal. There is a picture of this dinner, on the outside of the box. It looked so good that it had my mouth watering.

This frozen meal is microwave friendly. I cooked it in my microwave, on high, for three minutes, peeled back the film cover, stirred the rice and beans, replaced the film cover and continued to cook for three more minutes. I then let this dinner stand for two minutes before removing the film cover and serving. When I tasted the cheese filled enchilada, I loved it! It has a blend of American and cheddar cheeses in it. The red chili sauce is great and spicy enough to be zesty without being too hot. The refried beans and Spanish rice are both tasty and fun to eat. I would have liked bigger portions, but the large enchilada made up for that. For a dollar, you can’t beat this dinner. It has fabulous flavor. I rate Pinata Cheese Enchilada Frozen Dinner four stars out of five stars. I will be buying this one again.

This dinner has only 280 calories. Not bad. 80 of those calories are from fat. This meal has 9 grams of total fat, 4 grams of saturated fat, 10 mg’s of cholesterol, 1060 mg’s of sodium, 46 grams of total carbs, 6 grams of dietary fiber, 1 gram of sugars and 8 grams of protein. This dinner has large amounts of vitamin A, iron and calcium. If you are not watching your sodium intake, this one is a decent treat for Mexican food lovers, in my opinion. This product does contain milk, wheat and soy ingredients. I enjoyed trying this dinner and writing a product review about it. It is a winner!
