Try some of that powdered oxygen-based cleaner. Soak the shirt in warm water with a tablespoon of the white powder on and below each stain. Then wash as normal in warm or hot water.

A: White Vinegar works wonderfully! My wife swears by this. She calls it her ancient family laundry secret. She takes one shirt, fills the kitchen sink with HOT water, adds a cup of vinegar and lets the shirt soak for at least one hour. then she will scrub the armpit areas, viewing them in the light to see how much of the stain has been broken up. If the stain is not budging, she will pour straight vinegar on each pit and fold the shirt up and let it sit in the laundry room over night. She has removed deo stains that the dry cleaners had actually turned into hard, yellow plastic feeling swatches under my arms. I know I married her for something other than her smile!!
