I guess they’re used to dealing with people who literally buy what the food companies think is healthy. Alternately, some of the professionals seem to buy the same stuff too.) Yes, you would likely get more protein from the beans, however one would also get whole grains if whole grain pasta or brown rice is used. I do not avoid whole grains. I do avoid white “grains”– white rice, white noodles, white bread, etc.

A: Ok you are getting lots of gluten filled answers!!I use gluten free pastas a lot, my faves are Tinkyada and Ener-G both are found in health food stores and online.Also Lundberg Farms makes a YUMMY risotto that’s gluetn free and low fat! Its Delicious!! Try jazzing up the potatos, bake in the oven, make home made fries, sautee with spices. Try various rices, jasmine, risotto, etc. Really you dont want a ton of carbs anyway! But if you like to cook or bake, there are TONS of gluten free versions of breads, bagels, muffins, rolls, cakes, cookies, etc. I’ll list a few and if u need any further info let me know!!Amy
