Why are people so ignorant when it comes to health issues?
Q: Why are people so ignorant when it comes to health issues?I posted a question a few days ago in here.Stephanie answered and told me I had Lyme disease. With out knowing my complete medical history. She also told me in her answer that Lyme disease was transmitted through sexual contact and or women’s breast milk.I responded that Lyme Disease was transmitted through the Deer Tick NOT sexually transmitted.Stephanie then replied to me in my personal email as follows:From: Stephanie Subject: Lyme disease Message: Lyme disease is sexually transmitted. You can do a wiki search to update your knowledge. It is also transmitted thru breast milk and from mother to fetus. And 80% + lyme tests are false postitives. MORON! I own a medical company so I know what Im talking about————————————–…Well Stephanie,Since I can’t reply to you through email, I am replying through questions/answers.First: If you own your own company and you KNOW what your are talking about, why is it that ALL articles and brochures issued, state that lyme disease is from the deer tick?Second: Again, IF you say who and what you are, you wouldn’t be calling other people names such as MORON, you would know how to spell AND use punctuation.Third:Read the following link: http://www.revolutionhealth.com/conditio… Causes of Lyme DiseaseDate updated: May 02, 2008 Content provided by MayoClinic.com In the United States, Lyme disease is caused by the bacterium Borrelia burgdorferi, which is carried primarily by deer ticks. The ticks are brown and often no bigger than the head of the pin, which can make them nearly impossible to spot.Ticks feed on blood, attaching to a host and feeding until they’re swollen to many times their normal size. During feeding, ticks that carry disease-producing bacteria can transmit the bacteria to a healthy host. Or they may pick up bacteria themselves if the host is infected. In areas where Lyme disease is common, as many as 50 percent of deer ticks may carry Borrelia burgdorferi.Deer ticks typically feed on the blood of mice, small birds and deer, but they can also feed on the blood of humans, cats, dogs and horses. They live in low bushes and tall grasses of wooded areas, waiting for warmblooded animals to pass by. Deer ticks are most active in the summer. To contract Lyme disease, you must be bitten by an infected deer tick. The bacteria enter your skin through the bite and eventually make their way into your bloodstream. Before bacteria can be transmitted, a deer tick must take a blood meal and that can take more than 48 hours of feeding. Only ticks that are attached to your skin and are feeding can transmit the bacteria. An attached tick that has a swollen appearance may indicate that enough time has elapsed to transmit bacteria. Removing the tick as soon as possible may prevent infection. So, I go back to my question:Why are some people so ignorant? Is it because I didn’t pick her answer as the best?Is it because she THINKS she knows ALL?Will somebody please answer this for me?
A: I can clearly understand your frustration it is due to a lack of education. They don’t read or do any research. It’s pretty scary that she owns a medical company and has no idea what she is talking about when it comes to Lyme’s disease. I research everything, I also use different sites. It’s plain to see who the Moron is, I guess they will let anyone own a medical company.
How to not get bacteria from public laundry?
Q: I now move to an apartment, I have to use the public laundry machines. I am so worry that they are so dirty and hiding different kinds of bacteria. I don’t want to get any transmitted disease. Any product I can add into the washing machine to kill the germ? I know that adding bleach can definitely kill the germs however, are there any alternatives? Will the dryer be able to kill germs with high heat?
A: yes the dryer will kill the high heat,,, but what about all them germs on the door ? you may need to wear gloves,,,,,,,,,you may need to spray lysol in the machine when you are done so you don’t leave no bacteria for the next person to catch,,,,,,, you also may need to put on a mask cause you may have to breath the same air,,,,,,,,wow i don’t see how you make it in an apartment ,so close to so many others,,,,,,,
