A: Oh yes I was diagnosed in 1985. It is horrible. There is surgery that can be done to cure the problem, but it takes the hearing in the ear. I did use antivert but it did not help me mine was so severe. My ENT gave me valium and it is FANTASTIC! It even helpd the ringing in the ear. 20 minute or so into an episode after taking valium the dizziness is gone. It is great. Also additive but if you use it only for the dizziness that goes along with Menieres there want be a problem.
