Adobe Muse the Code Free Website Designer

Adobe Muse is a new program which allows anyone to create a Website without having to know any code. Of course, the big selling point of this, is saved costs and faster turn around for simple websites. Though it is targeted to designers, anyone who makes websites can use it.

The program is currently free to use, but will later go to subscription price model. Word on the web is that the price will be around $20 per month. Muse is different because there are tutorials to assist in learning how to use it, and if you follow the steps in the videos, you can have a site up and running within an hour. That’s not bad in this fast paced world. Of course it can be less, but if there is lots of text, then that takes time to put in.

Users can post videos and pretty much anything other platforms allow. The bonus is that, since it is an Adobe product it is flash friendly. Some of the the critics of the program say the code is messy and may not allow for easy editing in other tools. They also say that the current websites being made look more like brochures. However, with Facebook fan pages and other sites, there is room for just a basic, clean website with just the important information that searchers look for.

Muse is still in Beta, so we don’t know how well it will go over in the long term, but one thing is for sure, it is easy to use and it does what it says.
