Sneak in Exercise

Sometimes it seems like there are not enough hours in the day to do all the things you want to do. Many times we sacrifice our health to keep up with the hustle and bustle of life. Here are three exercises you can do anywhere.

1. Toe Raises

Tone your lower body while brushing your teeth. Instead of bending over the bathroom sink, stand with your back straight and heels together, toes pointing outward. Do toe raises by lifting your heels off the floor and keep your abs tight. Try doing three or more sets with 15-20 toes raises per set.

2. Butt and Ab Contractions

While you are driving, try contacting your butt in rhythm with the song while keeping your abdominals contracted during the entire song. Start off contracting both cheeks at a time for a couple of times, then alternate contracting each cheek separately. After a few times, repeat the set. Try to do this for three or four songs

3. Take the Scenic Route

Instead of taking the easiest route, take the long way. This can be done in many different ways. For example, park farther away from your job and power walk to the door. You can also take the stairs instead of the elevator or even take the stairs just going down. On your breaks, go for a quick walk to blast up your heart rate from being sedentary for so long.
