I want to build up big biceps, pecs & a 6 pack. what workout and diet will achieve fast & effective results?
Q: I dont really want to buy weight gain products to become a beef cake. I just want a ripped upper body from working out at home and a decent diet.
A: Well all the muscles in your upper body are inter connected. So I wouldn’t reccomend only focusing on those few muscles. Building your triceps will lead to larger biceps. Your pecs are connected to your shoulders. Your back is connected to your shoulders. Your abs/core is dependent on your back. One of the best upper body workouts is push ups. Do wide arm, standard, and then move your hands close together. Also put your feet up on a couch and do decline push ups. This will ensure you are working out all the different muscles in your chest. You can also do some with standard width on one arm and then wide with the other, switch it up. That will provide the best results. For biceps you are prett much limited to curls. But again do different angles. Curl wieght straight in front of you. Turn your elbows in so that you are curling out to your sides. Do concentration curls, hammer curls, etc. Just try to do a variety. For triceps you can do dips off of a chair, kickbacks, and tricep extensions. if you don’t know what any of these are just do a search on the internet. Sites will actually visually show you what they are.I prefer to do shoulders, biceps, and triceps all in the same workout. For the six pack…the elusive six pack. For that my friend you just need to lose weight. I guarantee you already have a six pack, you just can’t see it becuase you have a layer of fat on top of it. Most normal human beings need to get under 10% body fat to have ripped abs. Keep in mind that under 10% body fat usually will put you into the category of elite athlete. You can do all of the crunches, side raises, or the hundreds of other core workouts and nothing will make the 6 pack appear unless you lose the fat.Oh and by the way, over 50% of your muscle mass in your body is in your legs and butt. More muscle mass equals more calories burned while even not exercising which will make that 6 pack jump out sooner. So maybe go get your body fat percentage checked. Do some research about healthier eating, and attack your goals.
