When does registration for the 2009 Chicago Marathon start?

A: I would check back in the spring. I think they have a 6 month training program that they put online and they start registering in the spring. I am not sure though there is no info on their website and I don’t know anyone who ran the marathon this year to ask when they signed up. If you want to train now anyway to get a head start Nike has a running program with a web site training program going all the time and many local running clubs are listed there too.

A: That information is not available yet. If you get on the official chicago marathon web site, it still has the 2008 info on there. My humble advice is to go the race360.com web site. From there, they will explain how you can be kept up to date w/ the latest news regarding the ’09 Chicago marathon. I just checked the SF Marathon web site (running on 7/29) and registration is already open. My guess is that registration should soon be available within the next 1-2 months for the 2009 Chicago marathon.
