Does anyone have any information about bronchiectasis?

The walls of bronchi become damaged and dilated so that they trap air. They become useless for exchange of gases. If only a part of a lung or one lung is affected, it can be removed surgically and the remaining lung tissue may function normally. If both the lungs are affected, there is chronic irreversible lung disease.
